My name is Kyle Campbell McRae, born in Little Rock, Arkansas. I moved to Iola, Kansas in the late 90’s. At that time, age 7, I was fascinated by dinosaurs and wanted nothing more than to be a paleontologist when I grew up, but my passions took a drastic turn a few years later when I picked up my first John Grisham novel. Ever since then, I’ve had a passion for law, and there has been no looking back.
I’m a proud Jayhawk and graduated in 2012 with a double major in Linguistics and Anthropology. My pursuit of law led me to Washburn University School of Law, where I studied from 2012 to 2015. I not only learned the intricacies of law but also had the opportunity to help small business owners and veterans as a student lawyer through Washburn’s various legal clinics.
In October 2015, I joined a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Kansas City, Missouri, first as a clerk, then as an attorney in April 2016. I litigated medical malpractice and other personal injury cases until 2021. But my thirst for knowledge and desire to learn more about other areas of law led me to work in financial services alongside financial planners in Leawood, Kansas with my sights set on estate planning.
In April 2024, I opened McRae Law, LLC, and I am excited to use my experience in planning and personal injury to help clients in Kansas and Missouri. I provide legal services in the areas of personal injury, estate planning, and several other general practice areas. If you’re curious if I can assist you, give me a call.
On the personal side of the coin, I’m close with my folks back home and love my black lab, Willow. When I’m not working, I am typically enjoying one of my many hobbies, like painting, cooking, challenging friends to board games, or spending time out in the country. I believe these interests keep me grounded and help me connect with my clients on a personal level. I look forward to meeting you and helping you navigate your legal journey.
